Default Can you answer these questions for me??

Anyone out there changed out their t-stat on their own?? What does it involve and did you consider it an easy install? Does it make a real difference in operating temps w/o programming?? I have the hypertech 160 deg t-stat that I was planning on installing..any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. ...........Next question, anyone installed the brake bias spring in their master cylinder and did this help in overall braking performance for you?? Have new rotors, calipers, ss brake lines and pads being installed soon and was gonna have this installed at the same time. Thanks everyone. SR

Tstat's a breeze. Very simple. I dont know if it will make a difference without programming. I did my tstat with a fan motor controller kit. My temps hardly ever hit 200. Usually hovers around 198. Hope this helps. Eric

Hi,
Yes I installed the brake bias spring myself (piece of cake to install) and I swear by it. Less nose dive is very noticable at slow speeds, and the car feels great at excess speeds.

I think it may make a slight difference, but nowhere near as much as re-programming your fans to come on sooner. Its not a very difficult installation.
