Question... Changing Oil Sensor & Intake
After 2 years without a Vette, I'm back with a 1999 convertble.
My IP analog oil gauge says 80psi and the DIC says 160psi, so I figure the oil pressure sensor under the intake manifold is the culprit. I found so much on this topic, but I still have a couple questions.
1) Is there an intake manifold gasket I should replace? Or reuse what is there now?
2) While I have the intake manifold off, is there anything else I should replace as easy-preventative-maintenance?
3) If I swap the LS1 intake with an LS6, is everything else reused and mounted identically, or must I modify or replace anything else?
4) Where is the best place to buy a new LS6 intake manifold cheap, and what gaskets must also be purchased? Is there a kit available cheap?
I don't want to put a whole lot of money for a few more HP and torque, but would if reasonable.
