If you haven't ever flushed the transmission after that many miles, I wouldn't do it now. You could stir some problems inside the tranny, best to go with just a drain, filter change and refill. This is what I've been told at a couple of transmission shops when I asked about flushing my daily driver (non Corvette).
If you haven't been driving your car under the following severe useage conditions then you don't need to touch it until you reach 100K miles. Otherwise you are overdue. From the owner' manual:
50,000 Miles (83 000 km) Change automatic transmission fluid and filter if the vehicle is mainly driven under one or more of these conditions: - In heavy city traffic where the outside temperature regularly reaches 90°F (32°C) or higher. - In hilly or mountainous terrain. - Uses such as high performance operation. If you do not use your vehicle under any of these conditions, change the fluid and filter at 100,000 miles (166 000 km).
Don't flush. Pull the pan and change the filter. I am not a believer in flushing the tranny. GM recommends changing the fluid and filter they don't say anything about a flush.

ANY Corvette that's nearly 10 years old, with 86k miles on the clock, IS ready for transmission service. Don't wait for trouble to happen! Change your fluid and filter now.
