Default Slot shifting an auto?

Hello everyone again, I was wondering.. I have a C5 2000 auto vette and I admit, I wanted a standard :o One of my fav things to do is step on the clutch and rev up while driving either saying hi to a friend or you ani't got **** on me to some import
So.. Was wondering, if I can put it in neutral from drive (Coasting on the road for a split second.) rev up then put it back in Drive, or will this hurt the car.. First auto :o
Thanks lol

Me thinks its best to just blow your horn or wave or something. And no, it won't hurt the tranny as long as the revs are back down to car speed when you stick it back in gear.

If YOU know they "ain't got ****" on you, then they probably do, too. I wouldn't waste your fuel.

No it wont hurt the Tranny to rev it for a couple of seconds!

Just DO NOT do a neutral drop - meaning that some fools take the tranny out of gear and put it in neutral rev up the motor and drop it in gear to launch it! If you do this you are asking for a mound of trouble and a huge amount of repair bills

You should not ever do a neutral drop even when you are rolling - if anyone feels they need to do this then it's time to sell the Auto and get the MN6!

You can get a stall converter! it will allow you to rap it up with the throttle, I'll do this occasionaly when I go by another car, just hit the throttle and whaaap!

Thanks,Matt

Ok thanks guys. Honking is fine, but this is my first sports car and I LOVE the way it sounds, it would be easier on the engine though lol.
I'll never neutral drop anything lol, did that on a four wheeler.. or what was a one lol
I really want a standard, but then again.. A Corvette is also my dream car and I have one!!
Thanks again!
