Default LS6 intake question???

Do all 2001 and newer C5s have the same intake manifold as the Z06's.I guess my question is can you tell a LS6 intake by having the brass inserts on the passengers side and NO EGR hole.If there is a difference does anyone happen to have both part #'s.

Yes, all 2001+ C5's have the same intake manifold.

The brass threaded inserts are installed in the manifolds for the general market, more specifically 01+ prod. F-bodies and for aftermarket demand for a similar application...to attach their standard throttle cable assy. to. All of the OEM C5/Z06 manifolds I have seen do not have these.

The EGR hole is for an F-body as well but only for pre-01's that want an upgrade to my knowledge. The EGR system is no longer used on any LS1 since the redesign.

Here is the P/N for the '01+ manifold: #88890523

Thanks

There was some stuff here a while ago suggesting that the LS6 intake was less prone to water ingestion. Has this held up?
