I have to say I have other cars and a member of other forums but this one is definately the best. Some of the answers I have read so far are really good. Almost like a manual. I hope this will be the case on mine.
I have a 98 hatch and tried the washer fluid. no noise no fluid. It is full but nothing comes out. Wipers do work though.
Do the wipers move when you hit the washer button or nothing at all. If nothing at all it's probably the switch. You don't have to take the steering column apart to fix the switch, I learned this the hard way. All you have to do is pry the little cover off the end and the switch contacts are right there for you to clean.
If the wipers do move when you hit the washer button the motor may be bad. It's on the bottom of the reservoir. You'll have to drain it to take it out and get to the motor. I got a spare motor from a buick at a junk yard. It's a very common gm part, no need to get a pricey corvette one.
Thank you all, Yes the wipers do move when I hit the washer button. I will double check that I don't hear anything from the washer motor and just replace it. I appreciate all the replies. I will definately try to find one from another gm. My Mechanic is all about Corvette OEM parts, which is fine, but this is my driver. If I can save a little here and there, I can spend more on the repairs that have to be OEM.
Sweet, I have the same exact problem. Please let me know if the new motor cures your problem. I'll try and pop that little button off and see if I can get to the contacts, clean em' and fix it.
Should I just wipe em' off with a tissue?

Do yourself a favor and use a DMM to verify power and ground before purchasing a new pump.
I can handle the power and ground. lol. Actually I just got back from the Mechanic (he was doing another repair-New Door panel), he said he tested the motor and it was bad. How much should the motor cost?
