Does anyone know anything about a SB that deals with a gasket or an o-ring on the oil pick up in the oil pan that might have been torn during factory install letting air pass into the oil? I am still trying to figure out where my ticking noise is coming from. It only does it at start up and does not last long but the noise matches the revs of the engine until warmed or pressure is built up. more of the temp than pressure. 2003 LS1.

You either have a speck of dirt in the lifter or a bad lifter, if it did it only once after standing for a long time it's not normal but happens.

But if it's doing it everytime you have a bad lifter.

If your looking for TSB's this is the place to go.....http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/recalls/

Sounds like piston slap. Its one of those things that are normal for LSx engines. As long as it goes away when the engine warms up you're ok. Do a search there are tons of threads on this subject.

I just checked all TSB's on all data and nothing matching what you listed.
