So i'm going to need some new brakes on my 97. Any suggestions on good cross drilled/slotted rotors and brake pads. I need for front and back and Im not looking to brake the bank.

It was a while ago, but I think I got my drilled and slotted rotors from Brake Designs. They were zinc coated, and they were about $200 for Canadian steel rotors. The pads I got from Gene, and they are GM ceramics. I've got several thousand miles on them, and they are still looking good, and quiet. No pulsing, or brake dust like the originals. For my kind of use, they are perfect. My only complaint was that the packaging sucked. One large box with some newspaper and plastic peanuts. I checked them carefully, and they appeared OK, but i was not happy with this. However, they have been great for me so far.

I was going to suggest the C6/Z06 rotor/caliper/pad set up, or a Wilwood, Brembo or any other bigger brake set up, since you would have the clearance with the Z wheels, then I read the last line.

Try brakeperformance.com for rotors. I recommend zinc plated.

HAWK HPS pads are GREAT, low dusting and stop better than ZO6 pads.
