Need advice in replacing left fuel pump. Do I need the whole assembly or is it usually the pump only that fails?? Any suggestion with e-Bay products TRE for $78.00?? Or Autopartstore product $83.00 including core? They'll give credit for the core $20.00. What's the core for??
My buddy, who'll be installing the fuelpump was told only to use original Corvette parts. Cost for the part alone is $565.00. What's your take??
$565 is for the entire assembly which also includes the level sensor.
Since your pump is easily accessed, I wouldn't have a problem putting a pump from the neighborhood parts store in it. If you must by a GM part then go to www.gmpartshouse.com to order it.
