Default iPhone "pocketdyno" app - Accurate?

I was wondering if anyone out there has tried any of the iPhone apps that use the internal accelerometer to find and display info like 0-60, 1/4 time & trap speed, and G forces. I downloaded the free app to my iPhone and used it a few times while driving my Accord (Vette is asleep for the winter). I was interested to see if anyone has compared the results produced by the iPhone to actual results produced by timing equipment. How accurate is this thing?

I have "dynolicious" on my iPhone and have not yet used it with my corvette, but had used it with my camaro @ the local dragstrip. It was incredibly accurate for me.. within 1/10 of a second, speed was within a few mph. I had the luxury of being able to get the EXACT weight of my car while at the track though.. which makes a very big difference in the precision of the results from what I understand.

No it's not going to be repeatably accurate. Securing you phone would help, but still the accelerometer in the iPhones are not super accurate.

You'll get the same results with a Gtech performane meter. Read about how accurate those are and you'll have your answer.
