Default 6-Speed Adjustment Reverse?

I ve searched every thread i could find and did the adjustment that RPM and everyone else posted on here to no avail. I still don t have reverse.... The shifter won t rotate the rod that goes into the tranny far enough clockwise to go into reverse..... I can get it to go into forward gears but no reverse. I made sure that the slot on the bottom of the shifter fits into the torque tube slot that its supposed to.... Anyone know what im not doing?? It all worked when i dropped it all out of the car.... Please set me straight!

Ill run a search on this...I don t know what this is exactly....Is it a wiring hookup? The tranny wasn t opened up in any way. I backed it out and changed the clutch then put it all back together. I don t have any lights on on the dash....It goes into all of the forward gears but its like there isn t a reverse slot/ detent.....

Either your reverse lockout is screwed up or the clutch was installed improperly.... Ive seen this problem before. If the clutch needed to be shimmed and wasnt, it wont fully disengage causing reverse to be damn near impossible to get into.

try this. put the car on a flat surface and shift it into 1'st, does it lurch at all? Now leave it in first with the clutch pedal to the floor and rev the engine, does the car try to move at all? If it does either of those, your clutch is not disengaging and was not installed properly.

Do yourself a favor, get an adjustable clutch master cylinder as well.

That started happening to me when my slave went out. If thats it add some clutch fluid and if it fixes it you need a new slave and when you replace your slave or master you do them both at the same time. Good luck.

I think my next mods will be the Tick Performance adjustable MC and remote bleeder/slave cyl. I don t want any shifting issues especially while trying to lay it down at the track! Thanks!
