Default LS2 Intake on LS1 question

Can I install a current LS2 intake manifold & TB (90mm) on my 99 Coupe LS1 engine?

Do I need the intake & TB gaskets too? Are there any other required adapters or parts needed?

I would suggest to not do it. You won't benefit at all performance-wise. I remember reading you may need new injectors and o-rings due to differences in the fuel rail and by changing those you'll need to change the injector connectors on the harnesses. I think a few vendors have kits for that. You'll also need an adapter for the plug on the throttle body. If you haven't purchased the manifold and throttle-body yet, I would buy an LS6 manifold and keep the stock throttle body and MAF. Less work, less money, no-tune required, and it will pay benefits if you add mods down the road.

I really have no idea about the injectors that Arkay99 mentioned, however, there is virtually no performance benefit with the LS2 over the LS1. Go LS6 if anything, since the LS2 intake just plain sucks. LS2
s are so supper cheap since everyone yanks them off for something better.

Plus, going with the 90mm TB will require all sorts of changes to your tune.
