Adding cats to your system isn't going to help the smell that much. Your cam is what's causing the stink....it's called overlap.

I disagree. Stand behind a cammed car that is catless, then stand behind one with cats. The difference is substantial. Why do you think so many people end up putting cats on? It won't completely get rid of the smell, but it will help it a great deal. Good tuners can also adjust the tune to help at idle.

well having a tiny cam like the ms4 only makes things worse with smell. even when i was cam only (ms4) i could smell the fuel once cam was installed, when i went to catless/LT's it got much worse, but still wasn't that bad.

I'm just going from my own experience. My cam is smaller than a MS4, and I added the HF cats to my system, and couldn't tell any difference in smell. It was a little quieter, but my wife still hates the smell.

I am running Kooks high-flow cats with my set-up and still got a descent dose of fuel smell. After getting the car re-tuned (by Bret aka: BlownblueZ06) a lot of the fuel smell vanished.

Yes, I have a pretty heavy cam in mine with LG LongTubes with NO cats, and it STINKS so bad! Epically with the windows up and the heat on! It only stinks when I am stopped at idle.

I was thinking about going with some cats, but I doubt that will help, maybe like the post above me, I need to have it tuned better...

Bill

Have Tom fine tune your tune some more and I bet that will help out with the smell.

Just a thought.

Yeah you could do that too, just more $$$ out of pocket.

Since your keeping your car now you ready to sell me those ZO6 rims yet?

The wagon wheels, but I don't want to have to resort to sporting them, I'm not willing to sacrifice that much.
