All, I have the spec's that I am going to use for my 2002 Z06 for autocross. I need to find some information on where can I change the caster and camber. Does anyone have a shop manual on line that they can post?
Thanks tony
Thanks for the info. Also does the cam bolt on the lower control arm control the caster or camber. Where else would I change these measurements on the car.
You can do it at home but it takes some work. First, you need a level spot for the car, second you need a camber gauge (can use carpenter's levels or buy cheap ones used by race teams at the track), a way to measure toe consistently and then lots of time. After you make any adjustment you need to move the car so the suspension will settle. I used to drive around the block. To do an alignment this way took me about three hours. Set your camber, caster and then set toe as the other two affect toe. Doing the rear you only adjust camber and toe but you do need to string the car so you keep the thrust angle straight with the center axis of the car when setting rear toe.

most alignment shops around here charge about $69-89 for a 4 wheel alignment. i don't think you could do as good at home.... i have aligned some cars at home, and have gotten them close, but they were never perfect when i put them on the alignment rack.
I also have an alignment rack at work, so it is much easier to just put it on the rack at work....
i would find someone that you can trust with an alignment machine, and just have them align it.
there is nothing special about aligning a c5, it is actually easier than most cars, because everything is adjustable.
any alignment shop with a good machine and a knowledgeable tech should be able to knock out a c5 alignment with no problem....
