Default Changing Out Turn Signal Bulb (front right)

2002 model, The front right turn signal bulb has gone out, both right rear tail lights and the dash inticator flash fast but the front right does nothing. When I bring up the headlights I can see where the bulb is but my arm won't fit under the headlight assembly to get the bulb out. Whats the secret, do I go at it from the bottom of the car after removing some plastic or from the top side ?. Thanks in advance

remove the "hood heigth adjuster " stub... now you'll have plenty of room for your arm. Either mark it or measure it's heigth before removing; that way you can screw it back in to exactly the heigth it originally was.

You can get at it from below by removing the panel near the air dam but you will have to get the car up in the air for access (lift, ramps, etc).

It can also be done from the top (unless you have really big arms) by turning the headlight up and removing the plastic bezel that surrounds the headlight assy, three screws hold it on. Then you should be able to reach down in there and turn the connector and pull it out of the housing. There's enough wire so that once it's out you can get the socket up near the headlight assy where you can see what your doing and change the lamp.

Hope this helps

It's a real pain in the rear and will take longer than you think. You have to plug the new bulb in with one hand.

I have done this a couple of times, the key is remembering there is a button on the back of the bulb holder that allows you to take it out easily!! I also removed the three screws that hold the black plastic housing around the headlight, and that gave me some extra room and prevented me from getting my forearm all scratched up.

Astroglide might help too....I'm just saying...

I move the brake cooling duct out of the way. then you can get your hand in there remove the plug. there is enough wire to pull it out replace the bulb then back in it goes.
