Default IAT Sensor relocation?

Hello,
I have a 98 Coupe w/ headers, exhaust, CAI, and a tune. Sitting in my garage from my old C4 is a Intake Air Temp Sensor relocation kit that will also work with a C5.
Anyone running one of these? If so, does it really make a difference? Where did you relocate the IAT to?
Thanks for the help
Jimbo

i moved mine to the front of the vararam intake. if you have HPtunes, you can set the cells not to be so sensative to heat soak, thus not removing so much timing when the tempture rises at knock. I think i explained that right

I moved mine to the upper portion of the filter housing in my vararam. That way it would get the cooler outside air instead of the heat off of the radiator.
While data logging my wife's car (with it in the stock location) the IAT temps would get above 100* at times
I just spliced in enough additional wire that it would reach.

Is the IAT the sensor underneath the car in the radiator shroud area on the passenger side?

Yes, I put one on my 97. the rpms increased immediately...not sure why; but then it settled down after a few hundred miles...I think the computer self adjusted. got it from Ecklers...wait for the 10% off sale to save $5 if you are a thrifty shopper

With the VR Power Duct they moved the sensor right up near the maf and throttle body. Guess they don't care about heat.

Nope, that was 3-4 years ago. just narrow your search to 97 corvette on the ecklers site and look in the engine or performance tabs.
