A Different Fuel Gauge Problem
I have the gauge goes to empty problem but mine appears to be different than the others I've read about. Mine is time related. After 40 - 45 minutes of operation the gauge will go to empty. Then after 45 - 60 minutes it will read correctly again. If I shut the car off before the gauge reads again it will operate normally. The problem is not dependent on fuel level. I use only Chevron premium grade and have used a bottle of Techron (20 gal size) numerous times to no effect. Any suggestions?

Mine did that too for a long time. Bottles of Techron didn't solve the problem...it helped, but didn't stop it from happening. I ended up using the TIS web site, printed out the firmware updates for my car, then took the list to the dealer and had them do the updates. There was no more problem after that. No promises that it will fix yours.
