Default oil pressure too high

I noticed that my oil pressure was 130 psi as i was driving today. It didnt fluctuate with RPM's. I know the oil is not overfilled. Is there anything else that could cause it to be so high? or is this clearly an oil sending unit problem?

Advice appreciated. Thanks

I'm assuming you just pulled that 80% out of the air..........but I am curious if anyone has an idea what the % of C5s or forum members for that matter, have had at least one engine oil pressure sensor failure.

I know I'm still on my OEM factory installed sensor.(knocking on wood as I type this)

Yea, just out of the air based on forum feedback (like the above). But for what it's worth, I'm at 100%; Both mine and my wife's C5s have been victims of these POOR QUAILITY sensors

Am in the process of replacing my dead one. Plan on it. Ordered a sensor relocation kit from Eckler's. They were out of stock, and I had to wait a good while. Out of stock "mmmmm," wonder if they stocked only a couple, or if they have a continuous stream of orders for them. Regards GRT
