Default really wierd vibration..please help

My dad hit a curb as some know and I got rid of the shaking by getting new wheels and tires. But now I feel a small vibration at anyspeed in or out of gear that is on and off. Like it happends about 2-3 times a second. Not a fast one meaning not as fast as the tires are spinning so it cant be a bearing or bent rotor. The car drives fine and it feels like its up front. My question is what could spin slow and cause a vibration? Thanks for the future input.

If he hit the curb hard enough you may have damaged your bearings. The bearing pack is large so that may be your problem.

I had the same issue and was thrown off because the vibration frequency didn't seem to match up with the wheel speed. Nonetheless, I replaced the bearing assemblies on the offending side and the vibration was gone. Autozone sells the Timkin bearing hub for about $125 IIRC and there is a good write-up here on the forum of how to swap them.

thanks guys. I was thinking that but the speed of the wheel and the slowness of the vibration didnt make sense to me. But its going into the stealership this week to get those headlights to come back down ( another thing that was messed up) and ill have them replace the hubs as well.

I had a similar problem and it ended up being the outer front tie rod. Might want to have them check both the inner and outer for that corner.

Default which side, front or back?

Rocco, I have this same symptom and seems to be from the back but I can't tell which side. I tried the 12 and 6 oclock wiggle, but they seem tight.

How did you determine which one was bad?

Wheel hub bearings shift the weight of you car on a curve to one side a bit. See if you feel or hear a difference. Try the other side. The side you turn into will hold the noise most likely
