Default Help with Electronic Exhaust Cutouts

I have just purchased dual 3" electric exhaust cutouts from Race Ready Performance and I am looking for input on installation. I have seen cutouts installed all the way back by the mufflers and also just forward of the trans/diff.
My question is...how far forward can you install them? How close to the headers (before or after cats) can you get? Has anyone else installed this particular system? Any issues?
Any input would be appreciated.

I would think they'd have to be after the 02 sensors at the least otherwise you're going to throw codes.

Every pair I've seen were mounted in the back near the Tranny.

Mine are set up like this photo. I put the switch in the ashtray area.

The choice for location has to do with clearance.
Our cars are low and the bellies are flat so you don't want an exhaust piece hanging down so that means the cutouts need to be place so they are flat and don't lean towards the ground.
The other problem is finding a place where there is enough room for the exhaust to stick out straight without hitting the transmission or the other exhaust pipe.

That is why most guys settle on the location in the picture above.
That is what I plan to do in a few months.

Guys with ZO6 (titanium) catbacks don't want to weld anything on those babies, so the pipe near the transmission is the logical choice.

Thanks for the photo...I am pretty sure that is the same area I am going to place mine as well. I was doing a search on here and I couldn't find any how-to's...I could have sworn that there used to be some for QTP's.

I just printed out the photo and took it to an exhaust shop. They fabricated the pipes and I did the electrical.
