Default Kooks LT header - Stabilizer bracket on the header?

I bought my LT Kooks used and I think I'm missing a part.

Is there a single metal bracket that attaches both the passenger and driver's side collectors to the bottom of the car?

I've seen it in several pictures of the headers but its not in all of the pictures. And I can't find a picture of the bracket installed.

Can anyone help me? Does such a bracket exist or was it year specific?

Thanks,

A lot of people don't run that bracket. I didn't on my Dynatechs and the ARH I run now don't even have one. Too many have broken the collector area.

Oh! That is good to know. Ashame they couldn't have developed something with more give to it so breakage wouldn't happen.

No bracket came with my headers. Some people who are using their stock cats with the Kooks have removed the bracket from the bell housing and re-welded it to the headers as you are describing. It is definitely not needed....

Never thought about welding the OEM pieces to the headers. That is a good idea.

Of course, if I don't have any problems with the headers shifting around while under throttle, I won't bother providing them with additional support.

Thanks!
