Does anyone have any installation tips for the Vararam VRB2? I already have the Cajundude installation instructions. I read about guys saying they "sealed" the system with something to make it better. or whatever. Im doing my installation this weekend and would like to get it done perfect, without re-doing it.I already searched it on here and about all i could find was for sale threads, I already have it so i don t need to buy one. A link to someone s install might help as well... Thanks- Jason
I just did mine last week. Have patients, its a pain in the rear to get to the front housings. if you have a lift it will be easier. Other than that its not that hard, just takes some time. Good Luck, you'll love the system

Yeah, I just read your thread about your new tune after the dynotune! I gotta do mine on the ground/Jack stands But i can get it up pretty high. After the clutch & diff swap i just did, this ought to be pretty easy, i assume. I can t wait to see the performance difference. I just went from a Route 66 cat back to a straight pipe exhaust and it feels CRAZY!!

Nice! Thanks! I could tell the most differance when I was rollin, it pulls hard!
I'd suggest you make sure the filter is sealed to the housing. I ended up using a little RTV to seal it in there because the gaskets were not doing their job. I found some dirt up in the intake.

I installed it this morning and the manufacturer put extra foam around the filter. I cut it to fit perfectly! Maybe they started doing this "fix" so it wouldn t get dirt past the filter. I will say that the car DOES run better, after the install!
Next to the 7.0L upgrade, the Vararam has been my favorite upgrade!

By all means seal it. I found sand and grass made it past the VR foam gaskets. I didn't need to jack the car up to install mine. I went in through the bottom but later when doing head and fog light mods it's way easier to access the hard to reach bolts through the head light openings. The worst side is the passenger side because of the horn. The worst bolts are the fog light bolts. The install of the VR isn't bad at all. After a clutch it's a cake walk.
The other day I installed the VR powerduct. That wasn't a nice job. The duct is a thicker plastic but it was an ill fitting bastard to say the least. My advice on that one is save your money. I ended up modifying my radiator cover with a dremel and heat gun to make the duct fit.
I see you mentioned the extra foam, doesn't help, trust me.
