98 A4 Overreving
Have a 98 A4 w/80K... In the last month when at full throttle the vehicle does not shift from 3 to OD and instead overrevs. I let off the gas and then it will shift. Not sure what's causing it. Changed the trans fluid and filter at 60K. Although due to cold weather I have noticed a small trans leak this winter. Car is pretty much stock other then a Blackwing, X Pipe and 160 Thermostat.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what's your rear axle ratio ?
the 2.73 factory program will not shift from 3rd to OD during WOT. The TPS value must be below 40% (if I remember correctly) for a 3-4 shift will be allowed.

It does have the 2.73 ratio... I have owned the car since 2004 and up until last month the vehicle had not overreved as stated above. Is it possible it's not shifting from 2-3?
I have to be a little over 100mph for it to act up. What is redline for 2nd gear?
