Default How much tranny fluid M6?

I am changing my diff/tranny fluid and I was told the diff takes around 1.6L which it did, but now im no the tranny fluid and I was told it takes 3.9L and i've put 2L in and its already overflowing out the filler whole. I want to make sure I dont under fill it so could somebody confirm that its only takes 2L?

If it's coming out the fill hole it's full.

My guess it did not get positioned for a good complete drain of the old lube. If this is the case,,you may want to drive it for a while,,and drain and refill again some time in the future. I did mine on a 4 post lift and used close to 4 qts which I assume equates to about 3.9L.

I had a bit of "down bubble" on the front end and put in just slightly over four quarts. My guess is if the car were sitting dead level and the drain plug were removed maybe 4 or 5 ounces would come out.

I can't find any warnings about slight overfill so am not worried about it.

im going to put down for both the auto and Manuel tranys

Manuel is 3.8L or 4.1 quarts (2002)

Auto is 4.7L or 5.0 quarts for Drain and refill (2002)

Auto is 10.2L or 10.8 Quarts for overhaul (2002)

this might help you guys some i got this out of the 2002 Model year Manuel.

The car was pretty close to being completely level when I drained the fluid, but when I filled it the back was a bit Higher because I didnt have access to a lift and I needed room to get under the car. It was overflowing quite a bit at 2quarts and with where the fill plug is on the tranny it didnt look like having it a little uneven would have cause the premature overflow so im not really sure what to make out of it.

I've driven the car around and I have no issues with shifting, no noises or anything like that so im really baffled why it didnt even come close to taking the right amount of fluid.
