Like to here first hand knowledge on this; which one, flywheel, and how do you compare it to stock?

I just put 10,000 miles on mine today. Great clutch so far. I went with the 11 inch but the 12 will hold more horse power and costs less. The 12 will work just fine. I went with a lite weight chromoly flywheel for durability and weight savings. An aluminum flywheel is used by many but the one I bought is just a couple pounds heavier than the aluminum but both are much lighter than stock.

Compare it to stock? Since the stock clutches are garbage there isn't a comparison. If you mean pedal feel it's about the same. A bit more chatter than stock but it hooks up harder and all after market clutches will have more chatter and stiffer pedal. With the CF DF the difference is really negligible.

I have the 12" CF clutch with a fidanza aluminum flywheel and its a great combo. I have around 500 rwhp, which is no problem for it, and it has good pedal feel. The lightweight flywheel makes the car rev alot easier and faster.

That was a long trip! Glad the clutch is working out for you though.
I had a Centerforce in my 93 Vette, the car was basically stock but it performed very well!

It was a long trip. hehehe I also went 100,000 miles on the same trip, but the clutch only went 10,000 of it. Need I explain? Trip counter B has my clutch miles on it, it hit 10,000, and the odometer hit 100,000.

So the engagement isn't real smooth; how bad is the chatter?

It's really not bad. It is noticeable but you adjust your driving style. If I get right it's smooth as glass. If I get it wrong I feel it. This is just from an easy start from a dead stop. Under massive acceleration you won't see any chatter except from the rear tires. What I noticed was the surface of the pressure plate had a rough finish to it. Like a course turning when they finished it. I imagine that is part of the reason why it holds more and doesn't slip.

Glad to see this thread.

I am strongly considering a Centerforce Dual Friction 12" as amy clutch of choice when I get the stock one replaced..
