It's bad guys....real bad! I tore apart my dashboard ( in a '91) the other night to try to fix the SYS light that kept flashing. Couldn't fix it so I put it back together. Now, when I turn on the lights the dashboard lights don't come on. It is almost completly dark in my car at night when I drive. I can still read the MPH in the LED but the dimmer control for the lights doesn't work at all. I just move it up and down but nothing happens at all. I did notice the other night when I auto-started it ( I have an alarm with the auto-start on it..a viper) the dashboard lights came on until I stepped on the brake. The brake is the auto kill for the alarm,l but if I start it normally the lights won't even blink. Now I noticed (or accually someone pointed it out while I was driving) that I don't have any tail lights! I have brake lights but no tail lights...what the heck? :U
Re: Wiring problem? Please help me!!!! (colotocali)
I was going to say check your tail lights until I read the rest of your post. That is a saftey feature so u will know your tailights are out, or atleast you will be concerned enough to fix somthing since you cant see your gauges at night! Check your fuse box if you haven't already done so. you may have shorted somthing.
Sorry guys...Wrong Forum! (Someday I will be one this one, but I am happy being in college and just OWNING a vette) But I still would like your in-put!
