Default Help Needed - Pulled Codes - What do they mean?

I've been getting the service message on the DIC to: Service ABS, Service Traction Control, Service ???? (Crap, I can't remember the other but they all run together.

I went out and pulled these codes

28-TCS - C1225-H, C1226-H, C1232-H
60 - ICP - U1160-H, B0521-H
AO - LDCM - B2264-H, B2282-H, B2284-H, U1064-H, U1096-H
A1 - RDCM - 2283-H, 2285-H,
BO - RFA - U1096-H, U1064-H, U-1016-H

These look like history ones. Do I need to clear these codes to get current ones or should they have come up with the history ones?

Any help is much appreciated.

Here is a website that has list http://www.stengel.net/diccodes.htm anything with an H at the end is history. I would say you should do a rest then see what codes come back.

Thanks japc5. I've printed out that list and will go over them. I will probably need to go back out and clear them and see if any new ones come up.

Much appreciated.

They are all history codes, thats good I guess.

How often do you get the messages?

About 6 months ago I went across a bricked road (a historic road) and the service abs message came on. After parking and restarting the car hours later, it didn't come back on. About two months later going over a bump it came on again. Again, after turning off the car for the night it didn't appear again until a few months later. Since then it has come on at least once a week. Today was the first day it came on as soon as I started the car.

I went out and cleared all the codes. Drove it around the block and everything seems fine. Will see over the next few days.

Thanks again,

Shari

Shari, these cars are notorious for little electrical gremlins. Hopefully they don't continue to haunt you.

Maybe Bill Curlee will add to this, but he found a wire in the door jam accordian tubes that will short to the frame. You might want to examine that to see if its shorting out when going over the bumps.

Seems like a lose connection of some sort since it happens when hitting bumps.

Check all the grounds, I bet that fixes the issue since it seems to happen when you go over bumps

From my experience, the LDCM and RDCM codes should not come back often/are not meaningful. It was explained to me that the priority for the computer "network" (for lack of a better term) puts the door modules fairly low down on the pecking order. So if they are trying to contact the system while something important is happening, these codes trip. Just clear them and tighten the grounds (as previously suggested) and see what happens. Its amazing how little odd issues with these cars turn up.

Hopefully you will be good to go after that.

Do a search on the word gaiter...read that post because you are getting a door control module code.

I did. Thank you. Very interesting. I'll check to see if I have any bare wires when I get home.
