Default HELP, small wires by the Starter

There is about 6 very small wires that runs right by the starter in the black plastic tube and I need to know where they go. I have a picture but I can't post it. These wires are in 2 seperate small plastic tubes and have got hot because of my Headers and have melted together. Thanks for any input.

At least having wire colors would help here. The O2 sensor harness, crankshaft position sensor, and low oil level sensor are all in that area.

In one of the small plastic tubes is 3 wires, looks to be green, yellow and maybe blue with a stripe. The other has only 2 wires, one is a small ground and the other is maybe brown, it's very hard to tell. But both had melted from the header heat.

Sounds like crank position sensor and low oil level sensor. Do you have schematics?

Default Thanks

Thanks,
You have hit it on the head. I am very curious as to why the car did not just quit, or even set a code.
The problem was the car would hesitate and serge every so often. But no dought about it, these wires had melted together.

Yep, fixing the crank position sensor wiring should fix the hesitation or surging issue.
