Does anyone know what the differences would be from a set of service manuals from 1999 and 2000? I'm thinking there can't be too much difference and if I come across the 99 manuals for the right price I'd buy them...
1 year??????? Probably not a lot. Believe the 2000 has slightly more in common with the '97-'99s than '01s-'04s. For example, brake bleeding procedure/order is different from '97-'00 to '01-'04.

The DVD is the way to go. The DVD is much, better than the paper manuals.
The DVD allows easy navigation when referencing related information in other sections of the THREE manual sets.
I cannot say enough regarding how much you will like the DVD.
If you’re curious, I’ve successfully installed the 98-05 (includes the 97 Corvette) GM manual on DVD on these operating systems: XP Home, XP Pro, XP Media Center, and recently, Vista.
The DVD includes ALL GM vehicles 1998 thru 2005.
Also note that the DVD installs integral with the Internet Explorer browser – any other browser cannot be used with the DVD. (Of course you can still use other browsers for web surfing on the same computer)
