I just recived some 3.42 gears that I got used how do I tell if they are 3.42 and not 2.73 or 3.15. The guy who I got them from seamed like a up front good guy .Just checking because of all the problem there has been in the last couple of weeks on the net

In the seriel Number:
1st part of serial number
a = 2.73
b = 3.42
c = 3.15
g = 3.42 (Z06 shot peened unit)
2nd place in seriel number:
month built
3rd place = year built
Also,
On top of a 2.73 casing there will be the letter 'A' about 1 inch tall
On top of the other casings there will be a letter 'B' about 1 inch tall
Thank You they are clearly mark on a sticker Gertac 3.42 the serial BJM00764 . I had a good feeling about this man but with all the nonsence on the net I had to check
