High Auto trans temp-anyone got any ideas?

Ya...you are right..no change in rpms...I'm pulling trans this weekend and rebuilding
While testing this last weekend tranny finally showed signs of malfunction..."jerky" shifts....I could hear a faint whinning noise at about 35mph..when I got it home I let it sit in the driveway for about an hour..when I pulled it into the garage I wanted to position it for repair...when I attempted to back up it would move and jerk, move and jerk...
