Default C6 Seat Install Help

Hello,

I'm in the middle of installing some C6 seats into my C5. I've done some research through previous threads already. I'm starting on the passenger side. I felt it would be easiest to swap the C6 seat onto my C5 tracks. However, I want to use the C6 switches. I've found the wiring info I need to get the 6-way power switch to work. However, I can't get the power bolsters/lumbar switch to work. I know the wiring on the C5 side, but can't find any info on the C6 switch. I am hoping someone here has already tackled this and can help with the wiring of the switch, or at least the C6 switch wiring diagram.

Thank you for any help that I can get

Erik

I went about my swap a different way, but here's what my 2006 C6 shop manual shows for the passenger side (7 pin) switch itself:

Pin1 = Pass. Seat Bolster Inflate Control (Pink)

Pin2 = Pass. Seat Lumbar Inflate Control (Light Blue)

Pin3 = Battery Positive Voltage (Red/White)

Pin4 = Pass. Seat Bolster Deflate Control (Gray)

Pins 5-6 Not Used

Pin7 = Pass. Seat Lumbar Deflate Control (Yellow)

HTH

BTW, I don't know what year C6 seats you are using, but normally GM does not change the wiring color codes from year to year unless there is a major re-design or something, so you should be safe on these color codes. If yours are different, you will have to confirm the color codes you have before proceeding.

Thank you so much!! Actually, once I figured out the red/white wire needed +12volts, I got the rest figured out from there. The c5 wiring diagram didn't state any wires used for +12volts, and I didn't need one for the 6-way switch. This info will help me though when I go to tackle the driver's side sometime this week. The most annoying part was that the C5 wiring includes (2) Orange wires & (2) Gray/Black, all with a different purpose!

Thanks again for your help
