hello my father has a 1998 corvette C5 NON Z06 and NON Z51 has anyone in here had alignment isuue problems for example the dealership says it takes up 4hrs for a aligment. The reason why I am asking is that we bought some new rims and tires at the turkey rod run here in daytona the rims and tires are great looking on the car but we just wanted to get the alignment done and also get the sensors reprogramed but the dealsehip says that the sensors are wrong type for a C5. These are aftermarket rims and michlin tires. I do know the rims have a valve stem and there is also another valve stem mounted in the center of the rim I do not know what this other valve stem is. I looked on my C6 with Z06 rims and I have only one valve stem per tire.
in actual time it should take about 1-1.5 hrs to align your c5, what they may have been telling you is that it may take up to 4 hours of actual time to get your car in and completed once you arrive....
don't know about the 2 valave stems... i have seen that before on aftermarket rims, one hole for the sensor, one for a rubber valve stem... usually for clearance issues with the tpms and the way that the aftermarket wheel was made.....
make sure that you have the right tpms sensors in your aftermarket wheels....
you should be able to use the search feature on here and find a post on here about reprograming tpms sensors....
