A fellow Corvette friend linked me to this thread, and I just joined the forum in order to say, I have this same problem now, driver side window, I can hear the click when I depress the down switch, but no motor action, the window stays up. I've actually had the problem twice before, but was still under warranty with my 2003 C5 Coupe, auto, so had the dealer fix it. First time, they cleaned contacts on the driver side, and got it working again. Second time, passenger side, different dealer replaced the regulator assembly. This time, now, the driver side again. So I tried the hammer on the bottom of the door technique that I read in this thread, and what do you know, it freed up the stuck condition, and I was able to use the down and up switches to engage the motor. Now I've left both windows down a crack, while planning my next move, which is to use the FSM book 3 to help me get the door panel off, and with an EE friend, try to determine where stuck at fault occurs and fix it. I'll post back here when and if we are successful. But I want to say thanks to you all for posting about this problem on this forum, as it gave me excellent advice, and the conviction to tackle this problem head on.

UPDATE: I was dealing with the wrong connector. Turns out to be the green one supplying power. Cleaned contacts and reseated, only to find problem came back in 10 minutes. This time I physically removed the pins, narrowed the gap on the lugs for better contact with the BCM pins, and scraped the pins all around. I also opened up the BCM to make sure it looked OK with no cold solder joints. This appears to have done the trick. I'm also carrying a long handle screwdriver to slip between the panel and wiggle the wires if I get stuck on the road. If it comes back, I am replacing the connector with spade lugs and heat shrink tubing. Amazing how stuff like this can happen, but aircraft connectors are a bit pricey.
