I have had my kit installed in my car about (3) weeks. I noticed the trannie softened up a little bit between 1st to 2nd gear making it more bearable to drive.I had (3) washers installed in my trannie. Is it normal to soften up a bit?
Rod:
I put 2 washers in mine and it stiffened up the 1-2 shift alot. I had allready changed the computer to stiffen it up as much as poss. Hopefuly your clutches are not worn out.
Rod brown...If the kit was installed properly the 1-2 shift should be an awsome experience at WOT.Even on a 20mph roll when the converter kicks in that 1-2 AND 2-3 shift should put sideways...mine does:eek: Even during daily driving you should feel a "slight kick"..Not bad.. but enough to let you know it's there. My installer also drilled out the 2nd(.096),3rd(.155) and 4th(.155) gear feedholes to enhance those gears as well. Make sure you have the car running when you fill up the transmission..It's IMPORTANT..It makes a difference!:yesnod:
I've had mine in for about a month now and can say I've never beat this car as hard as I have since the Transgo kit. I hammer on it daily and my shifts have not changed one bit. Still hard and firm putting the car sideways between shifts.
