installed the catch can from CCA and had a few questions. Anyone that has does this install on a pre 03....how did you route the hose for the top fitting on the can? I tired and the only real way to run it is to have it come from the PCV valve and loop up to the can...which to me would make it alot harder for oil to enter the can seeing that it would have to travel up the hose. Any help or pics would be awesome...thanks guys.
thanks for the reply man...and the link. Im going to have to take a snapshot of what im talking about. I followed the instructions on CCAs site and off the web....i dunno...just doesnt make sence or at least there has to be another way that would be better. Basically i took the PCV valve hose off the manifold....attached the hose that came with the can to the end of the PCV valve and the TOP inlet on the can. That right there is my problem. The hose leaves the valve and does a U back upwards to the can.....which to me wouldnt let oil go uphill. Only way i see changing this is by moving the valve around which would involve moving a wiring harness that connects to the IAC i believe on the throttle body. Ill see if i can take a pic tomorrow and show ya. anyone else....if you have a pic of an installed can on a pre 03...post up a pic....thanks!!
Ray, here are some pics of my install. Maybe they will help
Chuck
thats perfect!...thanks man for throwin them up. No i have an idea with it. Looks like you used the braided fuel line hose with the nice fittings...correct? Yours is the same way as mine except your top hose is shorter so it doesnt have that much of a U bend. Im going to have to try that and see how that goes. Have you noticed anything with it??..like oil not falling into that can alot...more often than other members on here?? Thanks again dude!!
