Default Installed Hotchkis Sway Bars

Just got through installing a used set of Hotchkis Sway Bars.

MAN, WHAT A DIFFERENCE !!!

The car takes corners like it glued to the road !

I've purchased a new set of Bilsteins on fleabay and should be here next week. That should make a heck of a difference as well.

I any of you are looking to do this swap, I highly recommend it.

What about ride quality? I have the F55, any knowledge on how it affects that?

Thanks ahead.

Sway bars don't affect ride except when cornering and even then only amount of is lean is affected.

i just added the very same setup. swaybars and shocks with sim sensors.
lets just say when you look at the new bars and sit them next to the stock ones....... well its just amazing.
the performance is well worth the money. but i find myself trying to speed through turns to see how amazing it holds the road. and i just cant stop smiling

And yes the car is amazing in the turns.

I was looking into picking up a set of Hotchkis sway bars, what is the benefit to getting the metal end links as apposed to the set they sell without end links? I guess my question is, $300 extra is going to do what for me?

Hopefully you've already upgraded you plastic end links to the newer metal end links. If so, you can reuse them.

As for what EXTRA are you getting.... your car will handle "like it's on rails". If you think it take corners and turn good now, you'll see a night and day difference with the Hotchkis bars !

My car is my DD so I noticed the difference immediately.

Sways do make a HUGE diff..I went from the stock Z06 bars to T1's...its a big a leap as from the stock vette bars to Hotchicks or stock Z06 bars....its very noticeable

The only downside for the T1's is that they are a bit loud...clunks at low speeds

Yes there is a HUGE difference. <<< See I still can't sop smiling !

I installed the metal end links that came with the Hotchkis kit. Mine are the older heim joint type end links, but I haven't heard and difference. It still rides nice and quiet.

My whole suspension is stock (lowered on stock bolts), will it still make a difference or do I need to do other suspension mods? (I know little to nothing about suspension).

Thank you!

After the Hotchkis bars, do what I'm doing next weekend... swap your stock shocks out from some Bilsteins !

I picked up a set off of fleabay for less that $300 bucks, shipped !

I got Bilstein sports, even before I started any "moddin". The difference was immediately noticeable (I have a Z51 suspension). After I got done "Frankensteining" my car, the last thing I did was put on the Hotchkiss sway bars. I thought about getting the Pfadt swaybars, but I figured that I was not going to de enough autocrossing to require frequent adjustments. Besides, the Hotchkiss cost about 1/2 price of the Pfadt sway bars.

Not entirely true- if you hit a bump with one side of the car, because of the thicker sway bar, it will cause the car to ride a little harsher because articulation of the single wheel has been limited.

Give it some time, they may start to get noisy. I had those heim joint type bars, they lasted fine for about a year, then I started getting clunking. Wound up stripping the damn hex sockets on them, had to cut them off with a sawzall . Replaced them with metal Z06 non adjustable links, so far so good/quiet!

I too run the Hotchkis bars, Z06 springs, Koni FSD shocks. same observations- much less body roll especially coming from the FE1 suspension.
