Default Running RICH

I'm hunting down solutions. BESIDES a "tune", what would cause my '98 - A4 to run rich? I am constantly receiving codes 172 & 175 (left & right cyclinder banks running rich) on my DIC. Average milage dropped from 23 to under 15.

Since both bank are rich, it would seem to rule out the O2 sensors. Here's a couple things from the manual:

Visually/physically inspect the following items:

Collapsed air intake duct.

The air filter element for being restricted.

MAF sensor for being installed in the proper direction and for foreign objects blocking the inlet screen.

For fuel in the pressure regulator hose.

Check for the incorrect MAP/BARO display.

For excessive fuel in the crankcase. Change oil as necessary.

No, it's in the service manual. Pick one up for yourself, it's full of useful information.
