Sorry, no advice on how to put it in. But I can say you are safe leaving it out, if you choose to do so. I put the TIC Performance MC in and the turnbuckle for adjusting the pedal height was getting caught up in the spring...so I just removed it. Its a little bit harder to depress but not bad at all.
Its a bi*** to put it back in. I just used a screwdriver or channel locks to pop it in once one side was in one hole and over the pedal arm. Its very awkward to get up under there and out it back in but it just takes the right timing and easier if you hold the pedal halfway down when doing it if I remember correctly...

I took that damn spring man what a relief, iam sure it would be tough to put it back, its a trick not too much force needed, its self explainable when u have a good light there and take ur time but dont bother with this spring it wont do anything good.
OK...The spring is back in position...IN LESS THAN ONE MINUTE!!!
Here is the method for those interested:
-1) Lay on your back on the floor, driver side facing the underneath of the dashboard (may be the most difficult part here)
-2) Put the two corner ears of the spring in the two holes with the plastic insert (I did it by hand, easy feasible)
-3) Compress the Clutch pedal to the maximum (I used my left hand) and with a pliers rotate the flat part of the spring inside the plastic insert of the clutch pedal...breath!!!!
DONE...I couldn't believe how easy it was when I did figure this method...to confirm it, I took the spring off and mount it in again, easy game.
For those questioning WHY I am having the SPRING ASSISTANCE CLUTCH PEDAL in, my ZO6 is equipped with a TILTON Clutch Master Cylinder and a RPS TWIN STREET CARBON Clutch...and it was a quite heavy pedal...I am back now to acceptable and with a perfect feel of the pedal on this combo.
