New Headers and Problems with the O2 Sensors - Check Engine Light
Recently I install SLP Headers, Cats and exhaust and this morning the check engine light turns on. Took the car to my mechanic and he told me that the CATS are not enough to perform with the factory O2 sensors. He told me that I can buy "trick" sendors in any speed shop.
I think that the sensors are OK or maybe installed incorrectly.
Please let me know if anyone experience a similar problem and how they fix it?

What codes are associated with the check engine light. Are you still running with 4 O2's, or were the rears moved to the front?
O2 simms will help/fix the two rear sensor codes if you can find them.
usually a tuner will delete them from the computer program.
the front o2 sensors need to be heated (use rear sensors in the front position) with a cable connector adapter.
If you list your codes we can tell you exactly which ones are setting the light.
I have found NGK o2 sensors helpful in eliminating these codes.
You should also do a search, there are many post to read on this topic
and as stated it is easy to cross the o2 sensors in the rear position. The computer will not like that.
A tune is usually required to make the most of this change and fix this issue if all else is correct.

After I had headers installed, the wires from the sensors were too close to the hot pipes of the headers. I had insulation put on and the problem was solved. This might be your problem, but not necessarily.
