Front headlight bezel question C5
While replacing my front turn signal bulbs in my C5 and after fighting with the passenger side to gain enough room to get down into the cavity on the drivers side I decided to just remove the black plastic bezel that wraps around the headlight. There is a small round plug that covers acess to an adjustment screw for the headlights.
This is my issue - the plug poped out after I removed the bezel. I then re-screwed the bezel in place and the plug will not pop securly back in place. I have pushed very hard and even tried spinning it to see if there were grooves or something - it is deffiniatly not threaded, and it will not pop in.
Did I break some kind of tab?? Has anyone ever delt with this?? If I take the bezel back off again will I find it easier to pop the plug in?? Do I just buy a new plug??
I really don't want to glue the thing in place, it serves a purpose of gaining easy acess to the adjustment screw and besides, it takes away from the quality of a well cared for car if parts have to be glued back in place.
