Gears for a 99 auto
Thinking about putting gears in my 99 automatic. Would 373 be too much for the highway??? I;m not worried about gas milage but i dont want to lose too much top end

I have a 2004 C-5 convertible and I put in 373 gears, also a 2800 stall torque converter. It's amazing, a whole new car. Don't worry about top end, 6000 rpm's in o.d. is 170 mph. i've only been to 150. Also 80 mph is about 2600 or 2700 rpm's, so it's fine for the x-pressway too. Gas milage is over 20 mpg on the highway so it's a great combination ........bob.
