HUD install

How difficult and expensive would it be to install a HUD on a 98 that did not come with that option?

Once you round up all the parts, the install will probably take around 3 or 4 hours. At least that's what it took in my case.

Yours would be more expensive than 99-newer models because you would have to replace your instrument cluster with one that is HUD compatible. If you bought a used one, you'd have to reset the mileage as well.

I am doing this install tomorrow on my 98 vett, does anyone know if the computer to switch my mileage back from my old cluster to the new on is it that silver box in the back of the new cluster?
