Default drilled & slotted rotor question

My mechanic replaced the Brembos with AC Delco Durastop. Both drilled but the Delcos are also slotted. He put the fronts on with the spiral going out towards nose of car and the rear with the spiral going out towards trunk. Basically, apposing the other. Thought all 4 should spiral out towards nose or head in same direction.

Is that correct and if not can it affect braking? If a problem I will have him correct it tomorrow.

Thanks

AC Delco Durastop are probably not directional right, left. Just like the OEM rotors they go opposite directions both cooling veins as well as slots.

Hi.... The rotors,IF,they are directional, will have the direction (an arrow, left/right stamp) marked right on the rotor.
Also, if they have 4 different part numbers, that would be a sure sign that they go in certain positions..........

I saw them in the box and they did have an R and L sticker. I think he did put the rears on flopped.

I have the AC/Delco drilled/slotted Performance rotors on my coupe. They have four different part numbers and are clearly marked with "L" and "R" stickers. Here are pics of mine front and rear (driver's side):

This thread may help.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...ed-rotors.html.

My rotors pull air from behind the wheels and push it out the front. Post #9 will probably provide you with the most help.

"When the directional rotors are properly installed, these internal vanes should lean toward the back of the car -

Turns out the fronts are on wrong. Vents are facing forward. Thank you for helping me.

If the brakes are not marked you can easily tell by looking at the internal vanes on the rotor, they should be directed so they act as a centrifugal fan, directing air away from the rotor. Most brands like the picture above, cut the outside slots in the opposite direction as the internal ones.

Hope that helps.
