Default Damper/pulley problem

Hello i´m new here
i got 2004 Z06
whith Trickflow heads and Comp cam 281/283 232/234 .595/.598 112 LS,
my orginal damper keeps running loose , though i´ve tried tvice to install it whith glue on the bolt.
Why does this happen?
I goin to buy new one, but i´m not sure which damper is the best for my vette, for best performance and on good price.
What do you recomend?

Did you use Elmer's wood glue? That seems to work the best for the balancer bolt....... Just kidding.....sorry, I digress.

If you've gummed up that bolt with glue, I'd get it out of there, and chase the crank threads to get everything cleaned up.
Get a new bolt, whether GM or ARP. Follow the service manual procedure to the letter for torquing, and you will be fine. Depending how long this has been going on, I assume you'll replace the balancer, and might as well do the oil seal.

Here’s what I’ve installed on a friend’s C5 LS1 – The Summit Damper is very well made & has a reasonable price.

Also check out the damper holding/rotating tool – I haven’t used this tool – just ran across it in the catalog.

EDIT - Install instructions PDF below:

The SLP UD Pulley is a nice piece. We keep them in stock. It comes with a new GM Crank Bolt and we can get you the proper Serpentine belt you'll need as well.

$179.95 - SLP Underdrive Pulley

Nice product from the description. I like the high retaining walls.

Many have installed an under drive pulley and have been happy. I stayed with the stock size as I feel the five HP gain isn’t worth any potential issues.

We have used both and both work great. You cannot beat the SLP unit for that price and it has higher walls to help against belt slip.
