Questions about basic C5 mods...
I am the first to admit I am not mechanically inclined, but I would love to learn as much as I can so as to make educated choices when trying to improve my car's performance.
The big questions I have are these...
1) I've heard that with long-tube headers, you have to remove the headers to change the clutch? Is this unique only to LT headers, or is this something that happens even in the stock setup?
2) I understand that unless I change the headers and cats, it really doesn't matter what exhaust I put on a C5. That said, I love the look of the West Coast Corvettes "Corsa Daytonas", but they seem pricey for "just a muffler system". However, if the performance is going to be similar across the board, then I'm guesing it doesn't matter if an exhaust is cat-back or just mufflers, right?
The Corsa Daytonas are at:

3) I really want to hear more about how to choose the right place to put tires on the polished rims. I understand there are certain mounting machines that can reduce the odds of damage to the rim... does anyone know the specifics?
Thanks for any and all help!
I have found that I take my car to discount tire. They are very informed about vettes (proper jacking procudure, etc... ) I also live in AZ, where there a ton a vettes so they have practical experience.
Not sure on your last question... sorry..
