Wife's 2002 has 44,000 miles & original brake pads and both the ABS & Active Handling lights came on. I pulled front wheels & both of the inside pads of each wheel had worn more than the outside pads. I only had time to replace all front pads but the ABS & Active Handling lights are still on after a test drive. I haven't looked at the rear wheel brake pads so I don't know how bad they are. Do I need to reset something, unplug and replug the sensor at the wheel or what to get the lights to go off. Or, are the rear wheels telling me they need new pads also ?. Any advise on how to get the lights to go off ?. You can email if you want at Ronfjd@msn.com and thanks in advance. RD
. The code should tell you exactly where the problem is. I just finished pulling the rear subframe, rear end and tranny out of my car about a month ago and everything was fine but after a few miles I got the same message. Pulled the code and it told me it was a short in the right rear sensor. Looked at it and the rim had rubbed the wire through. Being able to check codes on our cars is awesome.
