Default Mod List Opinions

Hi All first time posting but have been a long time lurker. I have a 99 FRC, and a few goodies in boxes ready to install. I was looking for some opinions as to what other parts should be included in my installs.

Parts going in:
Whiplash 2 Cam Package
OBX Headers
Z06 Shifter
Full Tune From Corvettes of Westchester

Already have Borla Stingers & K&N Intake

Any other items I should include while doing these Mods? For example should i change the plugs/wires?

FYI the car only has 7K miles.

Thanks for your input....

What's you budget above and beyond what you've already spent? A used LS6 intake manifold isnt terribly expensive and would help the mods youre installing.

While you are changing your cam, consider a two-piece timing cover, incase you want a better cam later on:

I don't own this yet, but here is where you can get it from. Ask them:

LS6 intake would be a good idea.

Thanks guys, i have been debating over an intake but a used LS6 intake makes sense and would fit my budget.

Add an LS6 intake at least... This one item alone can hold back a fair amount of HP.

In addition to what others have stated, if you are getting a tune, most tuners require a 160° Tstat. Also, I would strongly suggest getting a wideband tune from someone local as opposed to a mail order tune...

you might want to buy new plug wires as they can get damaged if you aren't extremely careful when removing them. Ask me how I know!

Even though you have only 7k logged so far....

I would think about a set of Yella Terra U/L roller rockers as an upgrade to your stock rocker arms....

ARP crank bolt for that underdrive pulley....

and while you're thinking budget, you might as well start preparing for a new clutch/pressure plate assembly....you'll need it....

Get ready and good luck.....
