Phil stopped by yesterday and tuned the shift points on my '00 A4 w/ 315 gears. Phil is a great guy and I'm very happy with the results. He got rid of the high rev shift point from 1>2 when starting out easy and the lag in downshifting from OD to 3 when punching it - stock programming issues in A4 with 315, IMO.
It's guys like Phil make this a great forum. He didn't charge a thing and wouldn't even take a soda on his way home. So I'm offering to pay it forward. I've got some expertise in areas such as replacing the ashtray with a storage compartment, rocking chair, oil sender replacement by cutting an access hole, and of course "leaky butt".
I would have stayed for the beer if I didnt have to run. I made it home for my twins litttle league game before it started
They got beat 10-0
Im glad to hear the car turned out how you wanted it. I had some extra time today so I enhanced the no TQ management tune with differant shift points that we'll have to try one day.
That's what I like about HPT, You just keep renaming the changed tune 1,2,3,4...
and its easy to go back to the tune you liked the most.
I think you'll like tune 5 no TQ management next time.
