My AC compressor did the samething. It was leaking around the seals. I had to have it replaced.

Do some more careful inspection. I've seen compressor seep, but never leak to where there is a puddle on the floor(especially and still hold a charge)

I haven't been able to get under the car , but the leak on the floor was the size of a Dime. I will see if I can get under there this week and check it out , since it's not a DD.

Had the same. Small spot on driveway. Look on top of the frame directly below the compressor. If it is all wet, you have a compressor leak. I had one. Recharged the system 2 or 3 times over a 3-4 month period. Finally bit the bullet and had the compressor replaced (thanks ANTHONY01). No mo problem.

Default Just do the seals

I may have experienced the same thing - one or both of the seals on the rear "lineset" went out. If so, the fix can be cheap, somewhat easy, and reliable. Here's the link (with pictures) if you are a DIYer and interested: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...ng-advice.html

A compressor will usually start seeping only around the shaft seal, and then you will notice just an oily residue around the compressor clutch and pulley.

It's VERY unlikely that the puddle on the floor came from your A/C compressor. There's only a few ounces of oil in it.
